HOW TO GET THERE – DIRECTIONS

By Road:
Take the M1 motorway and leaving from exit 23, take the A512 and then the A6 which is signposted for Loughborough University. Security barriers are in operation at each entrance to the campus. Visitors by car are asked to report to one of the gatehouses where staff will issue a pass and direct you to your destination.

By Rail:
There is a 90 minutes train service from London St Pancras and then approximately 10 minutes by taxi or bus from Loughborough train station. However, travelling with yumi on the rail system is difficult and not allowed on the London underground system.

By Air:
8 miles from East Midlands Airport and then by taxi to the campus is the easiest journey option. East Midlands is accessible from many European cities.

NB: Recently, British Airways has banned some sporting equipment but yumi are allowed as they are designated as archery equipment. They make no distinction between the use of a western bow and Japanese one.  Length and type of bow are not an issue. It may be that other airlines will follow this condition so check with the airline before booking and make it clear that yumi are sporting equipment for Japanese archery.
